Querstion-91 starter relay on firewall.....

guys,

I have a 91 stang. My question is regarding the STARTER relay on the firewall-Do they ever really go bad???
When replacing the starter-Should you replace it????

They do go bad, my stock one lasted 11 years, 180,000 miles

i just bought a new one for my mustang. IT cost me $7 and some change. Like around $8 with tax. Not bad at all.

Be sure to get a good one, because I put two junk ones on and when they go they keep the starter spinning while the motor is running. They only lasted me a couple of months.

I called Autozone, they want $13.99 for a Wells, and called the dealer and they want $28.00 for motorcraft....

I'd probably go with the Motorcraft......

But is WELLS a bad brand name, i always use there distributor caps/rotors and all. What would ya guys do????
