I'm going to go for the 4 disc 5 lug swap on my 91 lx.

I'm going with '98 v6 spindles and hubs ( I know...8mm wider track on each side) in the front and sn95 axles in the rear.
My question is I'm afraid to get the axles and they might break on me if they have a lot of miles on them.
Is this a good opportunity to go for 28 spline moser axles or unnecessary?
What would you do?

Secondly...how much should the calipers/rotors/break pads run me?
I want the whole cobra set-up.
2003 cobra calipers and 13'' rotors for 1994-2004 will work right?

I was looking at this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Must...42605QQitemZ7997003005QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Do you think that's too much?

I've already read that site with all the brake info...just needed these things cleared up.

thanks
Patrick

Actually what's really confusing me is on Matt's brake site it says I need to use sn95 calipers from 94-98 v6/gt/cobra for the rear when I use 94-95 axles.
What about calipers from 99-2004?
For the rotors it just says 11.65" cobra rotors.
So why can't I just use any 94-2004 cobra calipers?

Just to clarify that...

You can ONLY use 94-98 axles for the rear. The 99-04 axles are too long.

Everything else is identical from 94-04. Calipers and brake bracketry is all the same.

SO if you were to go to the junkyard and spot a 2003 V6 Mustang, you could take all it's brake hardware and use it on your car EXCEPT the axles. You would need to get 94-98 axles or aftermarket axles in that lenght.

1 other note. 99-04 have different brake line routing in the rear. The line goes from the calipers to the body. The 94-98's run the lines like the Fox along the axle. That means you will need to get 94-98 rear brake softlines and brackets.

I'm curious as to what offset wheels would go good with this combo above as far as clearing the calipers and sticking out to far?

Make sure you get a 3-2 kit from Maximum Motorsports, and while you are shopping there buy yourself a set of their front brake lines then you wont have to put an adapter on the P/S. Pretty much any 17" Factory SN95 wheels look good, I really like the way Bullitts look on a Fox Car.
