question about clutch

since i resurfaced the flywheel and i have an aftermarket clutch (fms) do i need to break in the clutch since it already has like 2000 miles on it. i was just wondering. i think i do need to atleast break it in.

Hmm, why did you resurface the flywheel? I think you should get a new clutch plate too, since the new flywheel surface and the clutch may not be perpendicular anymore. Of course you will probably be fine with what you have now. Breaking in a clutch is to heat cycle the clutch plate friction material, and since its already got 2000 miles on it, I would say no need to break it in.

well it had hot spots and now it shifts perfect into every gear since i did that.
