Then you got the legal issues. HID's in a Mustang is not legal at all, even with a kit that has a functional high beam.
are you seriously bringing up that aspect?

I have only had someone flash me once while ive had my HID's installed & it was a ricer that honestly I think was flashing me because he thought the HID's were sick. I went home later & aimed them down a little bit just to be safe. I actually had my buddy drive my car towards me & it didnt seem to blind me @ all. What about the lifted 4x4 trucks, even with stock lighting they blind the hell out of you & not to mention that a ton of em are running HID's now.
The ricers are the worse offenders where i live. Most don't even bother to aim them. I think i drive by 10-15 a night with poorly aimed HID kits that blind me until i pass. The trucks are even worse as their headlights are even higher up. My friends get tickets for them all the time.
I dunno, maybe it's because i'm an engineer, but i hate things not working properly or how they are designed. If you can make a halogen headlight with an HID retrofit project a cut-off line like this, then maybe i'll give them some credibility. But for now, i'm anti-HID's

no need to listen to this. They can be adjusted so the glare is not bad teamed with a good kit. There problem is very very minimal if it could even be considered a problem.
See my previous post. No matter what you do, you still get glare. The halogen reflector was not made to house an HID bulb. Drive down a dark street or alley, and see how much of the surroundings above 3-4 feet or so are illuminated....that's the glare everyone else sees when halogen+HIDs are used.
i made no mention of getting rid of the glare. when done right it can be minimalized. it's no worse than poorly aimed halogen lights.
It is. You can't compare the light output in lumens between the two. At first, I thought the same way and had a PNP kit installed. Because they produce so much more light output, the glare is worse than a halogen bulb.
