If I unplugg my Iac and the car dies does that mean the IAC is bad. I am having trouble with the idle surging. Replaced the TPS Cleaned the IAc but it still does it. I am going to print out the Surge checklist but someone answer my question about the IAC

The fact that the car dies suggests the IAC is actually doing something when it is plugged in (it is working).

That sticky should get your issue fixed. Good luck.

Yes it is. One of the biggest surge causes I have encounted has been a dirty MAF sensor.

clear your KAM

disconet the battery for a while and then start and let the car idle in the driveway without doing anything to it for about 15 min

I have tried all the above but still no change. I know that you have to have a certain maf with certain injectors and tb. I have 75 mm tb and a 73 maf not 100% sure of the injectors I believe they are blue. i was told that they are 24 lbs is that true. Its a long story behind this car. I inherited it from a friend that went to prison. he had all the work done. But they half way did everything. This thing has had wiring issues which I think I have fixed it all. Let me know about the injectors please. i am about to put this back on the road
