Will a K&N filter that I dropped in a 03 GT fit in a 95 GT?

From the K&N website:

air filter E-0945 (Mustang 2003 GT)
Product Style: Tapered Conical Air Filter
Base Outside Diameter: 8 in (203 mm)
Height: 8 in (203 mm)
Top Outside Diameter: 3.875 in (98 mm)

air filter E-0940 (Mustang 1995 GT)
Product Style: Tapered Conical Air Filter
Base Outside Diameter: 6.5 in (165 mm)
Height: 7.375 in (187 mm)
Top Outside Diameter: 3 in (76 mm)

If I recall correctly, the only pre-96 Mustang with the same air filter housing as the 96+ is the 95 Cobra R.
