Well a couple of weeks ago my friend was changing his headers in his 99 v6. Not for performance, so no laughing.
After he was done the car was running really rough, and we were positive it was a bad leak at the manifold. We felt for air and couldn't feel anything, so then we weren't sure anymore. I suggested letting the car suck up a little bit of oil, and watching where the smoke came from. Well we did this, and it worked out great, we found the leak.
Now its like 2 weeks later, and his car is running crappy. When he goes to rev it, it stumbles for a second and then picks up, but backfires a ****load.
He's done all the normal things, replaced wires and plugs.
I was wondering, if the o2's could've been screwed up because of the oil.
He claims when he first turns on the car when its cool, it runs perfectly which made me think o2s. What do you guys think? He doesn't get any codes.
