question for those thta have used POR-15

question for those that have used POR-15

I have both sides of my frontend under the fender stripped and ready to go with POR-15. my question is how do you cover those things you dont want hit with the stuff. I am not taking my hood hinges off and the bolts stick through and for obvious reasons I dont want to cover the bolts in the case I ever want to take it off in the future.

any suggestions would help...

Assuming you are planning on spraying (hard to do with POR), you could apply grease or vaseline.

If you are using a brush, just don't paint the threads

Try not to get it on your bare skin. I can tell you from personal experience that it is hard to get off.

I wouldnt spray por-15 either, it brushes nicely and a little goes a long long way.. Like the others said, dont get it on you, you'll have to chew the stuff off..lol

Why not tape the threads with some masking tape? Always works well for me, when I have painting to do.

Definately don't spray por. Brush on works great, it's self leveling. I would just tape off really good and pull the tape after the por gets tacky
