I think you mean BORE. Dont go over .30...that will give you a 306. If you want more cubes you'll need a crank with a longer throw, longer rods and shorter pistons...A la stroker kit!

Again...its what YOU want. Not what we want. If u dont know a lot, then search around on here, corral.net, hardcore50.com, turbomustangs.com, etc the resources are out there if u want to learn.


I think on late model 302's the absolute max u COULD go is .040" if u absolutely had to. But again, the bore size doesnt change the size all that much. Just get it punched out however far it needs to be to clean the walls up and go from there.

With a 302, people either go with a 306(which isnt a stroker), 331, and 347. I think there are other combinations u can do to get other sizes also. But it depends on what you want to do with the motor. If u go with a 347, then turbo or super charge it, that block will be walking on thin ice if it has a healthy h/c/i on top of it. How high do u want to rev it? Street car? Track? Weekend warrior? Power goals? Money? All this affects the situation. Ya cant just walk in and expect people to tell u how to build your car if u dont know how u want it to be in the first place.
