quick 3g alternator question

I know you can use the alternator out of a sn-95 stang but what about the 4 cylinder cars like the Ford Tempo of the same years. Or are they too different

those cars (tempo, taurus, escort ect) should work, only thing is the amperage may be different and u might have to mount it upside down or something.

aight thanks my dads tempo is done for and i was just lookign at the alternator and wondering if it would work.

i might check the repair manual for his Tempo or a parts store web site and see if you can find an amperage rating for the alternator.

Funanin, LMAO! to paraphrase your thoughts: it is easy - you might need to rewire the whole thing, fab up custom brackets and have it rewound to put out 130 amps. other than that, piece of cake. LOL.

I installed my 150amp alternator with the 4g wire kit. car runs great now, no light dimming or shutting off because of the underdrive pulleys

i was just wondering. No biggie , no rush for a new alternator ,figured i could use something out of the car. Being cheap like I am.
