Quick! Disconnecting high pressure hose from the steering rack

Hey guys,

I need some help. I'm taking out my steering rack and am trying to disconnect the high pressure line. Does anyone know what size the fitting is that connects to the rack? I can't find my 18 mm wrench and am hoping that is not the one I need.

Never mind...its 11/16......

haha....any tips ? I loosened the nut...but still nothing ? Any special tool ?

These are o-ring fittings. The nut only holds the hose in the rack fitting, it does not seal, and the hose will be loose inside the fitting when removed.

If you have the fitting on the hose all the way out, the hose should just pull out.

Are you able to remove pressure line while rack is still on the car or still in the car????
