I have headers, off-road H-Pipe and flowermaster American thunders and the car is just too loud..I get the dreaded 2k drone and want to get a quieter exhaust system..does anyone make a system that I can bolt right on to the H-pipe...I want to replace the tail pipes too..I know Flowmaster makes a 3-chamber from the H-pipe back but I dont know if that will be quiet enough..

The 3 chamber flows drone badly at 2000 RPM. I know, I have them and want something different. The only quiet performance mufflers I have seen advertised are the Steeda Sleeper mufflers that are like $125 each for a 2 1/2" muffler. See http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog/sleepermuffler.htm for more info

Honestly I had a set of dynomax super turbos they where quiet when you wanted them to be and then if you really got on it they where louder but still not insanely loud! lol just my 2 cents

get a couple of cobra mufflers off a 95ish, this will keep a little deep tone and still be quiet

I have 3 chambers as well and there is a drone at 2000 rpm like you said.....but it's not that bad.....nothing compared to 2 chambers.

I just installed a complete Magnaflow catback system for my Mustang and it is wonderful! I had the 40 series Flows and hated the drone. The Magna flows are near stock quiet at idle and cruise, but really wake up when you get on it. I got the catback system from Steeda for $400 plus shipping. They don't have it listed on their website so you will have to call them to order it. The system is 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless steel pipe with 3 inch polished stainless steal tips. The sound is very deep and sounds great.

yes there 2.5 inlet and outlet, i had them for about 6 months and wanted somthing louder! so i got 2 chamber mufflers. with the cobra mufflers theres still some noise (agressive noise) but not even close to the 2 chambers.

I have a 331 with BBK 1 3/4 longtubes, Offroad h-pipe, and I had the flowmaster 2 chambers with the pipes cut off so it dumped right out (I wish I never did that by the way...) I got a loud exhaust ticket THAT SAME NIGHT! The noise was rediculous, way too loud. I went to AutoZone, had them look up mufflers for my 1990 GT and it had a 2.5 inch option. He got me 2 mufflers that were made by CherryBomb? and they were called turbo II's? Anyways, they were 19.99 each. I bolted them up with no pipes coming out and it now resembles the feeling I get when I ride in my buddies C5 Vette! Loud, but not rediculous. I really want pipes back on my car. I hate the drone. But I will say, it did help. I can't tell the difference in power either! Just my 2 Cents.
