How many bottles or ounces of r 134 does or car use???? its the a/c stuff just incase you dont know?

2.2 pounds of refridgerant. And I think the compressor takes 7 oz of oil when installing a new compressor. And ford puts flourescent dye into the system from the factory, so you don't need to add any.

I think most compressors take 8 oz of oil. My one in my truck did when we changed it.

On the low pressure side.


There should only be one fitting that will accept the freon can. I can't remember if it's the passenger's side or driver's side, though.

Yep.



Like I said a little earlier, it has a smaller fitting than the high pressure side. The one you need is next to the brake fluid reservoir.

You gotta pull a vacuum on the system first though if the system was opened up...

If the system is still holding some charge, you don't have to vacuum the system. It's only to rid the system of moisture.
