R.I.P. car... maybe

Thanks, got the word last night, cars totaled. I wouldn't have guessed a 25 mph or so fender bender would total a car, but I guess car vs truck, car loses.

Now starts the "fight" with the insurance of what the cars worth. I came up with some numbers online...

Edmunds:
(T) $9,861
(PP) $11,290
(R) $12,751

NADA:
(T) $11,675
(R) $14,125

KBB:
(T) $10,025
(PP) $12,655
(R) $15,105

Anyone have any experience here? I know these numbers are just guesses and averages, and they span the board. What should I look for them to come back with? Do they prefer using one of these places to get pricing? Do they give you retail, private party, trade, etc... How do they determine the condition, as it can affect the pricing drastically (a few thousand $$)? I guess it's just up to me to bargain with them?

BTW, here is the car in all its glory! It was pretty, and extremely clean! Don't mind the pic angles, my friend was being artsy.

That will be my next step, autotrader. The prices are all over the place, some for $9000 some for $16000... I will probably try and find 10 cars on each site with similar mileage, and options and see what the numbers are.

BTW it was a clean car, and lower mileage when I picked it up. It has average mileage now (I drive a lot).

I'm doing the Trader and Bargain News numbers now and will post them when I find them.

If I get a good amount of cash, Idk, I just want the rear and suspension done on the car for now. I'm not looking to do anything other than that and a clutch for this year!

Me and the GF are staying in a condo right now, it's temporary, but a good 4 months to save and look for something after that time. I like the idea of buying, but might actually rent and keep it temporary for the near future.
