racing quads

ok im looking into buying a racing quad. i was looking at a crotch rocket, but i want to live a lil longer. a lot of people out there just dont pay enough attention to them. ok so here is the deal, i've been looking at the new yfz450r, but i work with a guy that tells me to go get the trx450r. not i no when it was hondas trx 450r vs yamahas yfz 450 the honda had it by like 2mph. now the new yamaha yfz 450 r is running 11.6-1 compression and is just an awsome all around bike. just want to know has anyone ridden both and what are yall thoughts on it. and it says in the mags that the new one is going for 8099 and i can get a new one from a shop by my house for 6799. what you guys think?

the yfz450s are the s*** my roomate has one and its badass, all my bikes have been yamahas(except for my sportbike it is kawai) i will buy yamaha for life imho they are the best for reliability and longevity. honda is a great bike but all my friends that are on hondas were putting new valves ect in all the time, seemed like they require constant mantinence. you should check out the polaris predator 525, or maby its called the outlaw 525 i dont remember, NOT the irs one, the solid axle one, the irs is a heavy pos. if your looking for power it has them all beat, it has the ktm 525 motor in it which is stock with something like 72 hp. and they have alot of improvements over the old outlaw. either way they are all good bikes.


you should reconsider a streetbike though, there is nothing quite like a sportbike. i have driven a lot of fast cars and did a lot of fast things, but i have never felt more free than on a sportbike. i guess they are not for everyone though.

I have an 04 Raptor 350 and love it. Haven't rode it too much lately but is an awesome bike. I'm sure the new ones are even better.
