1st Coast BMW club is hosting a "High Performance Driving School" Feb 25-26, 2006. I have instructed for them many times and this is a first class event in terms of instruction and organization! Roebling Road is a great learning track. 2.01 miles with 9 turns. Here is the link:

Click on the Invite and find out more. I will be instructing that weekend. I would like some new Stangs to try the road course (older one too)!!! Come and join me!

:SNSign:

To bad duner lives far away. This is right up is alley!

For what it's worth:

Roebling is an excellent beginner track. I still love going there. I will be there the week before with the Porsche Club of America. I race there 2x a year and it's a blast. Anyone who want to learn the potential of themselves and their car should attend an event like this. I rank this pretty high up on the "Gotta do before I die" list...

This will be my first time to the track with the '06 and I've got pretty stiff competition. These PCA drivers are pretty good. I did ok last year with the cobra. The porsche's and vettes ride your a$$ through corners but when I hit the straights, they couldn't touch me.

There will be a new z-06 there in Feb as well as a couple Lotus Elise's... Can't wait...

I'll let everyone know how much better (or worse, if that possible) the '06 is compared to my '04 Cobra...

The PCA does have some good drivers. I'm a Mentor Instructor for them. I have an old saying about Porsche: "They are quick in the straights but slow you down in the corners!" Of course, this is when I have my little Alfa Romeo GTV which was like glue in the corners but underpowered compared to them on the straights. Now, with the goat, they just slow me down everywhere!

Let us know how the 06 does!
