Racing seats for a 65 coupe

When you say they're tight, do you mean for your build? Like what is your height and weight?

The biggest reason I want to do racing seats is because I want to do something safer than a lap belt and I don't wanna put a hole in my headliner to doing a 3 point.

I did some searches last night before re-bumping, but not much surfaced.

Tight, for 5'7" 180 lbs. A friend of mine 6'+ 275 couldn't get his butt in the seat. He has a 65 coupe, and he bought Kirkey racing seats.

Originally he had stock seats, and a 5 point harness off a rollbar.

I came into this thread with the intention of recommending some Evo recaros. Having owned an Evo IX, though, the driver's side would always squeak or creak when I bent backward a bit and it bothered the JESUS out of me. Fairly sure it's a dealer-type noted and documented fix that's an easy find on SocalEvo.net or EvolutionM.net.

Great find!

Well thanks!
Lets see if I can remember 17"x8" with 4.25" backspacing on front and back with 225's on the front and 245's in the back. In the pic those are 245's up front and that did not work at all but since changing to the 225's I actually do hear a slight rub on the pass. side front but that fender can be rolled more. Other than that they allow full lock to lock steering.
The drivers side rear scrubs but that is because of a previous quarter panel replacement that left that lip way too "intrusive" if thats clear at all.

So can the rear be rolled or do I need to wait til its paint time and grind that lip of the rear?
