My radiator fan is cracked and I was thinking about replacing it with an electric fan. I need help with what electric fan I can get that will work. And how I would go about hooking it up?

The car is a 1992 GT.. My fan is about to burst because there's so many cracks in it. lol

go to mustangsunlimted.com and check out their fans
almost all of their electric fans will fit your car
just do a quick measurement to get dimensions to be sure
most of thier good electric fans come with an adjustable thermostat and a wiring harness
and if they dont, they also have both harnesses avaliable specifically for our cars
ive gotten almost every single part for my car from them
those guys are great to work with and their shipping is fast as hell
ive never had a problem with them

I would not try a mk8 fan. Even though they are said to be the best. They are very dillicult to install. And they are very hard to install in a stock fan. I know, I'm installing one now and I'm running into alot of fabricating In order to do it right. I would do a taurus fan (per the stickey) but there is still some fabricating to do. The mk8 is much thicker so it tenes to hit the pump. There is a thread that tells you how to install the fan with its stock shroud, which maybe the way to go. The taurus fan is cheap and gives you all the air you need and more. I am still determined to mske this mk8 work.

94-95 TAURUS FAN WORKS GREAT HAVE HAD MINE FOR 2 YEARS AND NO PROBLEMS JUST BUY A NEW ON DON'T USE A USED ONE. MAKE SURE YOU UPGRADE ALT TO AT LEAST 130 AMP WITH ANY ELECTRIC FAN. YOU CAN GET THE FAN FROM O'RIELLYS AND ITS NOT TO BAD ON PRICE. HOPE THIS HELPS

FWIW, a search will help.
You dont list what climate you live in, how you will control the fan, your budget, your level of ability, etc.

A quick search will help you see what combos work for others [that have similar combos].

Good luck.

I would not drive any car with a cracked fan, I'm sure you know that. And I'm sure you also know how expensive radiators are. Good luck.
