Hey all. I just had my Shaker 500 replaced and it seems different to me. What does the AUX button do and are the buttons supposed to light up?

i believe i posted in the other thread. on 05, the aux does nothing. the lights are supposed to light up. the dealer did not program the unit correctly. look at the TSB list in my sig. i believe there are a couple TSBs that deal with programming. they probably just supercede each other to update the list of included vehicles though. either way, take the it back to the dealer that installed it.

for the ipod models, there is a connector in the console to hook up the ipod to the shaker. you might see if that connector is available, and try it on the aux port of the shaker. i have not really followed the whole ipod to shaker topic at all, since i dont have an ipod, and my mp3 CDs work just fine for me.

i know ther was also a connector for later model shakers called triptunes. i dont know if anyone has sucessfully mated it to an 05 though. there was some kind of disclaimer about it not working on 05s.
