You could be right but when I bought it I checked with Kenwood. They had an agreement with CAS and confirmed what I had was indeed Kenwood. Then again, that was then, now everything is different. The fact remains that is continues to work fine, hot or cold weather. But that's just my setup. Who is to say what will happen with a new one. I sure like that that it fits in the dash and the 12 CD changer is in the trunk. I also have a Mach 460 from an '01 GT that I might put in my modified console. Like the 460 better anyway.
