I'm looking at that fan to replace the stocker on my '92. They don't have fitment numbers on the site, but is that for an 87-93?

It also doesn't mention if it comes with mounting hardware and it doesn't look like it can bolt to the stock stuff or frame.

Anyone know?

Oh yea, the search produces no results. "ramchargers" is too long, "ram*" and "ramch*" are too short. I gave up.

It is a universal fan. It comes with no mounting hardware. It fits my griffin aluminum 31x19 radiator perfect. I had to do a little trimming on the edges and fabricate some brackets for it but it is a very simple install and looks factory on this radiator.

Well, hopefully it is better than the MK VIII fan I just bought from Houston Performance... I'm truly doubting the longetivity of it at this point as it seems quite flimsy when running as it twists all over the place when hot....

I'm very bummed out with it... It moves the air though, but for how long, would be the question...

if it twists you must not have the right brackets. hate to see what is gonna happen when it throws a blade.

Actually, I made very nice metal bracket that hold all four corners extremely well. Especially consideringtghe other guys on the site used those fan mounting zippy tie things.

The actual outer shell is solid as a rock connected to the core support and the upper stainless steel radiator hold down. THat part isn't going anywhere.

What is flexing around is the motor when the support grid of plastic that it is attached to gets hot. There is a ton of play in the motor shaft and the blade wobbles slowly at speed, when it all gets hot, the motor twists and gyrates slowly. It's freaking me out.

Nothing to do with the way its mounted though. It's the low quality of the motor and its support cage... I'm truly PO'd that I wasted the dough on this thing, and now that it is trimmed up to fit the application, it's worthless. I really have to see and OEM one that that is running in a MK VIII... Maybe they are just like this and live.

Interesting thing that my Junkyard owner friend said, is that he can't keep the MK VIII fans in stock. They're gone as soon as they come in for OEM replacement. Maybe I should have took that as a warning... Sigh....

I have it installed on my car with the stock radiator. Soon to change to a 31x19 Grifin but I still have the stocker. It seems to work well and I mounted the high/off/low switch below my stereo and it looks great. Great fan for the price.

Yeah hopefully you will have around 30 minutes to spare when you install and hook it up, becuase thats about as long as it takes.

Guys, post pics of where you mounted your switches.

I like to get all my stuff done more around 15 minutes. Thirty is pushing it, I'll have to split it up throughout the week.

Really though, I'll post where my switch goes. You know me, it'll be neat-o!

You got any pics from the top of the engine compartment showing the space between the water pump pulley and the fan motors, Im interested cause I had to ditch my Mark VIII after intalling a 3 core radiator and trimming the shrowd as much as I could?
