I was thinking about trying a Randalls Rack after two failed attempts with Flaming River kits, but decided to stick with a rebuilt stock setup using a Borgeson remanufactured gearbox. It works quite nicely. No leaks or any other problems.
I dont know what is so bad about stock suspension on early model mustangs. The turning radius on my 1970 mustang is stock and its great. Sometimes I accidentally over steer my car and im barely turning the wheel , even though it tracks straight on the highway. The power steering is also original parts.
IMO, RR system, is just a hacked together thing by some dude at a shop, no real R&D on how it behaves on the street, systems, like RRS and TCP at least have track duty ETC for R&D

The car responds and drives mountains better than before. The power rack is above and beyond the stock power system.

The first rack hit the starter motor and the steering shaft would have had to pass through the left exhaust manifold (351W stock manifolds). The second rack was offset to the left about 4" but still would not clear the left exhaust manifold. I think this would have been a bump-steer nightmare anyway with a short tie rod on one end and a longer one on the other.
The left exhaust manifold on a 351W is sort of like a 289 high-performance manifold. The bell of the manifold where the flange of the exhaust pipe connects hangs out in the middle of the space between the engine block and the frame.
Another issue was the mickey-mouse setup for the steering column when you use a stock steering wheel. The column they supply is basically a GM design. Wiring for the horn is different and the harness plug on the column needs to be adapted to the Ford wiring. I have a Grant steering wheel and decided to use the Ford adapter kit on the FR column, but the work you have to do to adapt Ford to GM at the steering wheel end amounts to butchery. If I had it to do all over again I would order the column without the Ford changes and use a GM adapter kit for the Grant wheel.
