Where to start. If anybody knows how to fix these problems or has advice I'd appreciate it. Airbag light throwing a code #33. Front left makes squeeking noise is that the spring of strut? I think a vent is stuck open in the center of the dash there is wind noise behind the center vents that gets louder the faster I go but doesn't blow any air unless I actually switch to vent. Here's the important one it affects performance. The car has straight pipes but I'm thinking about putting high flow cats in. I know that's the reason for the check engine but my question is wouldn't the car run slower like this. Since the computer thinks there is a problem doesn't it automatically run richer to be safe? Even if I installed the MIL eliminators the computer would still have the wrong air to fuel ratios. I don't know what to do. Thanks

if its the CEL is caused by the midpipe not having cats, you will not loose preformance, the rear 02's just tattle when your car is polluting too much... and trip the CEL wont actually affect preformance, mills shut up the light and solve the problem..
what do you mean straight pipes?? no mufflers, dual exaust (no crossover)??
your car does need a certian ammount of back pressure to make power ie, mufflers.. also if you do not have an h or x pipe.. you will be loosing power, having a crossover pipe makes a fair bit more power than split duals..
x > h > dual is how it goes in terms of power

both, right and completly wrong haha...
the front sensors affect A/F ratio etc.. but they are before the cats, and have nothing to do with the CEL light that comes from a not catted midpipe... the second ones are just for emmissions purposes, and are the ones that cause the CEL..

to answer the squeaking problem, mine did the same thing. it ended up being the a ball joint. I fixed it by using a small knife and cutting slit just big enough to fit the little tube on a spray can. then I sprayed some white lithium grease in there. shut up the noise instantly. it could also be from a shock going bad. stick you head under the car and have someone push the suspension down to locate the sound.
