Ranger Roller Years

I really didn't want to have to post this thread, but I searched about 6-8 different terms and couldn't come up with an answer. Hopefully this will come in handy for the next guy who wants to ask the same question.

My question is, what years did the Rangers come with 2.3's and what years did these 2.3's come equipped with Roller Cams & Followers? I found somebody on ebay who is parting out a 1990 Ranger and I want to know if the cam in it is the one I am looking for, thanks for any help.

yes it should be in a 90. I yanked mine out of an 89 i believe. Also 2.3 mustangs 91-93 cam with rollers.

late 80's rangers have em, i think somehwere in the early 90's the ranger ranger recieved a differt type of roller rocker, which doesnt work....Someone else can confirm this. (as this is off the top of my head)

Yeah, I already knew 91-93 Stangs had em, just wondering about the years on the Ranger. Thanks for the help.

HMMM it's the same cylinder head why wouldnt it work?
