Rangers Duratec 2.3L

My father is a active member of the Escort XZ2 forums and has a built up 2.0L DOHC Zetec motor. He does alot of porting and polishing for guys in the Florida area and according to him there is a ton of potential in the Escort ZX2 2.0L and Focus 2.3L motors.

If your wanting to build up a Zetec motor I highly recommend you talk to him. His Escort ZX2 is IIRC pulling about 175rwhp naturally aspirated.

I certainly will. I'm in the process of registering with a few Focus/Ranger forums to get a little more information from some of those guys.

I saw an article about Duratec 2.3's a few years ago that said you could get 300hp with just bolt-on stuff. Probably more now.

It's an impressive engine. I had one in a 2003 Focus and my 2007 Fusion has one. 160 hp and good mileage.
