So I guess 11 or 12 years ago when the ford designers and engineers were sitting around sipping coffee and playing with theyre pe$^#rs and thinking about what engine they were to put into our beloved new style mustang (at the time, I wasent too crazy about it but after owning 3 they have become my favorite 94 to be exact) they decided to throw in a 4.6. I was in my teenage years and never even thought I would be able to own a mustang. Little did I know that several years and mustangs later that I would be loosing my tools into my BLACK HOLE, known to yall as my passenger side long tube header. For some time now I have been in the middle of my PI intake swap, and taking my sweet time about it doing small things along the way. Also since I like to take my car up to the local fast car hang out I would be cleaning and polishing everything along the way. Well my car has been down for about 3 weeks now ( which is not a big deal) because the guys at HPS still havent made my adapters yet. I know I should just do the silicone thing but that still leaves some mismatch in the intake runner alignment. Anyways I decide to take my cam covers off so I can take them down to the shop and get them chrome plated. Now this is where I get back to the original story. Ive been trying to get the passenger side one of but I have literaly ran out of 8mm and 3/8 sockets. Now I swear back when they were designing the moter they didnt want me to put long tube headers on the car. Especialy if your name is Clint, which would be me. Now what the hell was Ford thinking? Is it so much to ask to have a little space around the engine? Just a little? Enough so I can acces my tools sitting between my header tubes? HELL NO! I'm telling you Ford did it just to piss me off! I just had a cat scan a few weeks ago so I know I'm not crazy!! Or maybe they missed somthing. Fellow Stangbanger with longtube headers on a 4.6 can I get an AMEN!? Thanks for listening to my bitchin. I'm gonna go get a beer!

I started reading this but it is EXTREMELY hard to follow. Try maybe breaking it up into 2 or 3 smaller paragraphs.

I think everyone who has installed headers on their 4.6 will give you a hell ya. Its worth it though. PI swap is also worth it.

So what happened?

You dropped sockets into your headers?

I'm lost.

That was very hard to read.
So you know in you signature (not trying to be mean but buget is spelled budget... and supension is spelled suspension)

But I hear you...
When taking of my cam covers on the pass side second from the front outside bolt (the one with the a/c line right on top of it) I lost 3 sockets and a stubby 1/4 " ratchet and two extensions.... That one bolt is agrivating.
I tried with my mirror to see them, I tried with my magnet on a stick to just grab them... I tried with a blowgun to blow them out and I also tried with a pressure washer to just blast them out from the top AND bottom...I still never got nothing!! So I know what you mean. I can't wait until I decide to put some headers on... I wonder what I will find or ever better, lose in there.

At least you don't need to change sparkplugs and own a 90's transam with headers... insane...

Atleast we don't own F bodies.

Gotta pull the motor to check the oil on those.
