I have a 2008 Roush 427R. I attempted to install a dual mode raptor shift light this week-end...unsuccessful. Any advice in hooking the wiring to the PCM?

The instructions on the site were really helpful as i remember, I installed a raptor shift light in my stang about a year ago, although it wasn't a dual mode it was just a normal raptor shift light. I wired it to one of the wires going into one of the coil packs one to ground and one to a wire coming out of the pcm if i remember correctly. What exactly is the problem does it at least light up and do the startup check?

The light can be programmed but the light does not go through the test. One problem I've identified is I connected the red wire to an unswitched 12V source. Which wire did you use for the 12V source? I connected the green wire to a coil wire & the white wire to the blue wire with a yellow strip from the PCM according to the instructions (this is what controls the launch mode).

I dont remember witch red wire exactly but i think it was like the thickest one there, you want a 12v source that is available why the car is running(ignition turned on), when i start my car the shift light comes on and the led's light up in sequence and go off, which is the startup test. Try a different red wire or power source, if it still doesn't work i would shoot them an email.

This is my install:

I'd check the earth wire as mine wouldn't work with the long earth bolted to the back of the fuse box. Halving it's length and earthing it to the strut had it working though.

Heh, that's the first I've heard/seen a ground call an earth. I like that, might have to start using it.
