i was pulling plugs from my stang and they are really white. it misfires at high speeds and in the upper rpm's. im guessing this is a sign of running lean. im running a carb not fuel injection. i was just wonderin what number plugs i should be using and what could cause this. thanks

A white spark plug is usually signs of a lean fuel mixture or over-advanced ignition timing.

what type of plugs do you have in now? most people run autolite 25s without a problem.

im not running 302 heads, im actually running 66' 289 heads, and im using autolite 45's. the plugs are extremely white. i was just thinking its a lean mixture but i dunno. once it gets up in the higher rpm's it misfires and pops.
could these plugs be too hot for my setup? im using a msd blaster 2 coil and stock distibutor and everything.
