really weird problem, carb'd

This problem is really weird, i have no idea what it could be.
When I accelerate hard, the car will drive for about 30 seconds after I let off then it stalls, just no power. So far that's the only time it's happened, it started two days ago, and it seems to only do it when the car is warmed up )haven't really tested when its cold, I normally wait to start driving until the cars warmed up). I'm going to try some carb cleaner, other than that I have no clue, any help, any possible solutions would be awesome. If I cant get it taken care of by monday its going to have to go to a shop. The car is basically stock with only exhaust, the carb and fuel pump is just over a year old no leaks anywhere (minus the minor horsepower oil sweat). The car is running cool and it will run just as strong as it used to (at least myself and my friends cant feel a difference).
thanks for your time.

So are you saying that you are driving it hard for 30 seconds and when you let off it stalls, or if you get on it then just drive for 30 seconds it wants to die? If your really getting on it and it wants to die after awhile you could be running out of gas, like it cant keep up on the demand. If your engine is basically stock then any carb should be able to keep up, so it sounds like it could be the fuel pump going out or a restriction somewhere in the line. Check your fuel filters, float adjustment, and A/F ratio before you go running off to a shop. Check your timing and basic things too.

not getting enough gas is what it seems like, the pump isn't very old though. its doing what your latter statement says i'll get on it, after i'm done accelerating it take about thirty seconds then dies. i'll check the fuel feed, thats why i think it carb cleaner may work. is there any one else that could give their opinion

well... the problem has advanced. now it will stall when i continually give it gas, notably when im going up a hill, but it takes a while. after it stalls i wait a minute its starts right back up. replaced the fuel filter before i took it out today, it was definately needed, it had little black strands i think that are from the rubber fuel line (can anyone verify). I just put carb cleaner in and filled up, so hopefully thats it. Its probally the crappy carb; it just blows my mind that it would start going bad after a year and 3 months. If anyone else has any suggestions or ideas please let me know.
