i did a search and could not find what i wanted.

i was doing my brakes all the way around on all four corners and when i was doing the rears i ran into a little trouble. I turned the piston for about a 1/2 hr, and nothing happened. I pushed as hard as possible and turned and nothing. i only tried one side of the rears, and put the old pads back in. i wasn't going to change one side and not the other. has anyone else had this problem. Do you guys think its seized out. the piston is turning pretty easy but it just wont go in. oh and to add insult to injury, i smashed my thumb becasue my tourqu gun is a pile of ****. pretty nasty swelling. i cant even touch it with out pain. this is bull crud, let me know what you guys think.

i hope this all makes sence i am pretty good and drunk right now

did you have the brake tool? trying to do it by hand would be a bitch. go borrow the tool from auto zone if you haven't already. if you have it and it's not still not going in, than i'd say buy a new calliper. the stock rear callipers are really cheap

Yeah I did it with pliers and it was a bitch but i only turned mine a few turns cause the old pads where still good. I agree with Nate if it spins but don't go it its proably shot

Mine was really hard to turn, even with the tool. And I did have to turn a bunch of times to get it in even 1/16". But if you are turning it several times with no movement, then I would also think it might be shot.

u need that tool because it puts prssure on the caliper, just turning it by hand aint doing jack unless u try pushing in while turning, but seeing that u mashed your hand this might be hard.

Mine did the same thing...just keep turning it. I had the tool and turned and turned and turned that piece of crap...I thought it was butsed as well...then my dad came out and just kept turning it over and over and it eventually pushed it. I also took off the master cylinder cap and I think it helped...not too sure about that though! Good luck!

if you take the cap off i'd keep an eye on it don't want fluid running out of it as your turning it back in. If thast possible not sure if they have 1 way valves or not don't think so cause when i was messing with mine pretty shue we pushed stuff back up in the MC
