saturday me and a friend of the family(ford mechanic 15 years) put in my new 31 spline strange axles, 31 spline Auburn ECTED differential, 4.10 gears, aluminum driveshaft, steeda superlit sport springs, lakewood 90/10 drag struts, and UPR caster camber plates. It is amazing!! But My front right side makes a noise like a cross between a clonking and a bottoming out sound. Everything is tight and looks fine. Even had it aligned today and it still does it. It rides perfect and it does not affect performance but whenever i hit a bump it makes this noise, any ideas? O and I can't get a straight answer from people, what does 31 spline axles acually do for you performance wise?

Might be your bushings. I had no problems when I swapped in my new axle. Also, make sure your springs ar installed properly and their the right ones.

To answer your ? about the 31 splines. They are stronger than the ones from the factory. They can handle a lot more torque and harder launches, especially with higher numerical gears and DR's or slicks.

I checked the bushing, and they are the right springs, maybe they have to settle still? I'm going to the track tomorrow so I will find out if all the $ i spent was worth it. Any guesses on what i will run?
Its a 2001 GT Auto.
mods are-K&N, C&l intake tube, Accufab 75mm TB, C&l upper intake, MAC LT's, o/r H, Magnapacks, superchips tuner, Nitto 555r drag radials, 315's rear and 275's front, steeda full length subframe connectors, 4.10s, 31 spline axles and locker/ls(flip of a switch), aluminum ds, and no spare, rear seats, or passenger seat. personally im clueless to what i will run tomorrow? o and next week 100 shot NX. So takers on N/a, and takers on spray?
