I noticed my rear end was leaking the other day. Upon further investigation I noticed it was coming from what looked like a vent, about an inch long with a cap on it. I took it off and cleaned it, my question is, I blew in it and it doesnt hold pressure, is it supposed to? Do they go bad? can I cap it off, or does it need to breathe?

Thanks, Gabe

Gabe, the vent is on the pass side of the axle. It should breathe one way or another - otherwise your seals will hate you.

A new vent is about 10 bucks at the dealer if you need one.
