Rear Gear Install kit question

Yes, that kit will work. This kit does not come with axle bearings and seals so keep this in mind. You can get them separetely. I replace the axle bearings and seals when I do an overhaul on an 8.8. When you remove the axle shafts be sure to inspect the hardened surface that the axle bearing rides on. 8.8 axles are known to be damaged in this area so inspect both of them carefully.

Also, you could save a few bucks by buying the Summit kit.

It is the same as the Richmond kit minus the ring gear bolts. You really don't need new ring gear bolts anyways because you can reuse your old ones.
