Rear of car is lower on the drivers side.

Had new leaf springs installed a year ago and caused the car to sit a bit high in the back, but I was told the new leaf springs just need to be broken in. Well, the back of the car is now sitting lower on the driver's side. Is it the leaf spring settling? How do I get the other side to break in? Do I need to put bags of sand in the right side of the trunk?

Mine does the same. Always has. but now it's really bad since the leaf has gone flat.

My Dad's '65 vert and my '68 coupe both are slightly lower on one side (his passenger side, my driver's side). The best solution I've seen is to go to air shocks in back that allow you to set the ride height for each side.

I'm still confused about this whole thing. After putting new reverse eye 4.5s on mine a few days ago, my driver's side sits about 1/2" lower than my passenger. What gives?

Same thing in my case boys. my driver rear sits about 1/2 inch or so. even after replacing the rear stuff with 5 leaf mideyes, by the way, it didnt cure the problem. over time i believ our beloved unibodys will eventually start to sag. thats why my car is getting subframe connectors after a trip to the frame machine.

I think I may try adjustable air shocks. Can anyone recommend good ones for a '65 which may see some drag strip in the future?

Dont go with air shocks, they suck. I had the same problem, I installed new 5 leaf rear springs and nwe 1 inch lowering front spring with all the good bushings and still lagged on one side, I have installed new rockers and torque box,s and floors. Just maybe I welded something up in the wrong spot or I twisted it with the supercharger, o well, I just went out a bought a set of 3 hole rear shackles, one side is on the 3rd hole and the other side is in the second hole and since no one can see it, so what, I dont worry about it.

Rear of car is lower on the drivers side.
