ok..so there's an enormous box in the way...but if you look at the pics you can see how I formed fitted the delete... The area under the box is just flat.
all you need is a 4X4 sheet of plywood, nails, automotive carpet and I used some heavy duty wire to put through two drilled holes in the back of the delete and wrapped them under the two little bolts under the hatch carpet..anyway...you'll get the idea....really easy to make...don't go buying some aftermarket expensive piece

good luck

Once you remove all the brackets and hardware, the weight is quite considerable. Remove all the sound deadening material and that is even more weight off the car. Don't have any pics of mine right now, looks like hell, becuase it was more recent than not.

Yep the rear bench seat cushion is light but the rear seats are about 15-20lbs, plus the sound deadener at about 3-4 lbs

the seatbelts are probably 5 pounds each also, then there is some brackets and bolts which are probably another 5 pounds.

i removed my seatbacks and the vinyl cover. i left just the base cushion and set my amps on each side and my 6x9's in the center. it looks better then the dropoff it had before with the base cushion gone.

ive been meaning to make it all level like the ones five-o-stang linked. do you guys just get all new hatch carpeting and cover it with one piece?
