Rear windows problem

I just had both regulators for the rear quarter windows replaced in my 1970 mustang convertible.When I got the car back the windows only rolled half way down. i was told thats the way they came from the factory and supposed to be. The car is a convertible andI've never seen windows like that anywhere. Were they installed wrong?

What's wrong is your mechanic lied to you. They should go all the way down into the panel.

I second that opinion. Mustang quarter windows of that era were designed to disappear into the quarter panel. Your mechanic either lied to you, or he doesn't know what he is doing.
