Well my 2nd and 3rd gear synchros are really starting to go now so I guess I"m going to need to rebuild it, any suggestions for some better parts to put in with the rebuild?

I don't mean to pry, but do you have the money for a better tranny than this one? It's a fine piece, but there are several better trannies.

I wish I did I would go with a TKO 600 or T-56 if I did have the money.

Good sites I didn't really see anything about upgrading the T-45 at all though. The first two sites I coulnd't really find anything about the T-45 at all, the second site I saw they had a rebuild kit they were selling but couldn't find any information about better parts to put in there, the last one I just saw a guy saying that he could rebuild them but again no real discussion about what are some better parts to put in the T-45 to make it stronger.

its prolly cheaper just look for used T-45.
T-45 really isn't worth spending money to Rebuilt imo.
I would just get used T45, and while your at it, save for T56

Those are starting points. Call them and get good advice.

The reason you don't see a huge aftermarket for rebuilding t45's is that most people upgrade. You may have trouble finding what you need.

I'm guessing I could get the T-45 rebuilt for around $500-$700, how much would a good transmission cost me?

Roughly double that top end figure ($700). I have seen TKO600's go (new) from around $1400 to $1700.

A T-56 is anywhere from $1800 to $2300, new.

EDIT: Hell, I'm sure someone who's unhappy with their current TR-3650 would even sell to you. It's a smidge above (quality and toughness) the T-45, IMO.

I'm only planning on having this car make around 300 rwhp N/A can a rebuilt T-45 or 3650 handle that much power for a good while. I go to the track maybe once a month.

I don't see why either wouldn't be able to. A rear upgrade might not be a bad idea.

Well just my luck. I'm out driving the stang today, go and shift to second and have absolutely no play when shifting. Second has no play third and fourth would sometimes let me in and sometimes not and had no play when they let me in. Guess who broke a shift fork? So now I really need to know what transmission to go for, rebuilding is pretty much out of the question now its either a used T-45 or a TKO.
