Hey guys, im gonna have to rebuild my 95 that i crashed last fall. I wanted to list some things to hopefully get a head start on a plan of attack:

The front passenger side wheel hit a curb, and the spindle (im pretty sure) is bent at a 45* angle. The control arm/strut look ok. I was planning on upgrading to the 03 cobra lower control arms (oemfordparts.com) and getting a new spindle from a junk yard. I need anything that the strut, ball joint, and assuming tie rod attach to and out. I should have took better pictures but hopefully you get the idea. Is the spindle the part that attaches to all 3 of those things? And then the rotor slides onto the spindle, and the caliper bolts into it?

Also, i bought the cobra front calipers, and with my problem above, the bolt snapped off inside the hole. Any idea how to salvage this caliper? Dont have the cash to buy 2 new calipers....

My next questionable repair is the rear drivers side fender. I have taken everything off the front, but am absolutely clueless how to get these things off. Havent investigated much. Tips? Also what is this parts technical name?

Also need a trunk lid. Rear bumper and im pretty sure the front is toast too.

Besides that i can handle the rest. Need a flywheel, clutch, bell, tranny, shifter, exhaust and 1 new wheel and 2 tires i believe. Just gonna run stock stuff to get it onthe road so if you know of any deals out there, let me know!!!!

Also, someone remind me, with 18x9's.....275/35 is the popular tire size right?

(Most of my questions are because im not close to the car at the moment and im trying to research on the net now)

Yes, you're talking about the spindle. A spindle from the junkyard should have the hub (with the lug nuts) attached to it. You'll likely need new tie rods as well. To remove the large bolt in the caliper bracket, you can try some of the commercially available bolt removers. You can also try heating up the bracket with a torch and work what's left of the bolt loose as it cools.

The rear fender? You mean the metal over the rear wheels? That's the rear quarter panel, it's part of the whole unibody and does NOT unbolt - it must be cut out and a new one welded on.

Ahhhhhhhh yes brain fart:bang:

Cut and rewelded huh? Dont have a welder to do that. Has anyone had this done? How much will they charge for labor?

Thanks for the help!

One of my neighbors backed into my driver's quarter panel late last year. I had an insurance adjuster quote $1300 to replace the panel and have it repainted. That included $250 for a used quarter panel from a junkyard. I don't remember if that amount included any other repairs, but that's what I remember.
