I did the cobra brake swap onto my 66. They came with factory pads that don't quite create enough friction for me with a manual pedal. This is a street car that will see some autoxing.

I was looking at hawk pads but had to choose between superior braking and dust, noice, vibration and rotor wear. Then I found these:

I thought that yellow's were a race only compound. Sound too good to be true? Any other recommendations?

EBC Greenstuff. I had the redstuff pads on my Lincoln LS and they had to heat up pretty good to get a good bite.

So you like the greenstuff? I was kinda shying away from them since they were an organic pad. I thought they'd be an oem replacement.

The yellows looked tempting after I read they didn't need to be warmed up for a good bite and didn't cause premature rotor damage.

Ok, so the reds are out. Ever used any Hawk pads?

I have stuck with EBC. I ran Greenstuff on everything from a Nissan Altima to a 2004 F-150. I decided to try the Redstuff on my 01 Lincoln LS. I also put drilled/slotted rotors on at the same time so I had twice the trouble. They like to heat up to get good bite but I was using rotors that were meant to keep them cool.

My favorite part of EBC pads is the lack of brake dust.
