so just installed a 2 5/8" tach behind the steering wheel and im only getting up to around 3000 rpms before i have to swith gears, is this normal for an 1989 5.0?
i see people posting up to 6000 rpms and i was just curious
It all depends on how hard you're slamming the gas. Put the pedal to the floor and it should rev up nice and high for you. just go normal on it and it's like any other car wherein it shifts for smooth driving.
