i'm looking at buying oink's old turbo setup, but to use it you have to either delete or relocate your p/s and a/c. since my car is my daily driver, i need both my p/s and a/c. what are my options for relocating them?

Is joe selling it? Last I heard hes the one that bought it. I think for his kit the PS and AC have to go if you're just going to do a direct bolt up. Pretty much and DIY turbo kit that uses shorty headers flipped is going to have to loose the AC. PS is easy to keep as long as you dont mount the turbo right there.

you might want to check out the March brackets... I know their PS bracket moves the pump in closer to the center... This will just have to be something you bolt up to the car and make things fit.

are there such things as electric PS pumps and AC compressors? If not, then you'd probably need a pertty strong motor to spin that compressor over once it engages.

i wonder how much pressure the p/s pump creates ... more than a fuel pump can create?

Harley Davidson's are for men with low self-esteem. IMO.

I would like to see revhead347 parallel park a mustang w/ a 275 section width, R-compound front tire (soon to have the tires) and a 13 in. diameter steering wheel. Power steering isnt for pussies its just for people who dont like to break a sweat parallel parking their cars. Or in my case make it possible.

Done it. Did it in a 70' Cougar with a 11" steering wheel and a 351 Clevaland up front. I didn't even have real manual steering, just a stock rack with the ends plugged. I've driven a couple of Mustangs with no power steering. It's easy, just keep the car moving.

Damn WTF happen to the KB!? Did you even install it?
You are worse than me in making up your mind. Turbo is the way to go for the power man.

i ended up not getting it. my wife is against anything having to do with my car. i was originally planning on doing it without her knowing, but i got a conscience and decided it was the wrong thing to do, especially with the high price tag. now i'm going the diy turbo route, MUCH less $$$

fwiw, oink's setup was sold yesterday to someone on turbomustangs.com.

but i still think i'm going to look into running off an electric motor. if i can fit them under the back seat, that would kick.
