OK, a lot of you know, i'm putting an 87 5.0 into an 84 Rx-7. i was about to use an 88 lincoln, but got enough advise, not to do it. i'm glad i didnt. but, i've pulled out the bulk of the motor, and wiring harness, and computer. i tired to label everything as i disconnected it. my first question is, what all componets do i need for the 5.0 to run. its going to be smog legal, so i got all the emission stuff, its just a couple vaccum hoses hanging out. there are twohoses going into the passenger side fender, from a plastic (the thing the hoses connect too) its right on the back side of the shocktower. #2 do i need those?

#3 do i need the wiring harness, that comes out of the driver side firewall?

#4 the vaaccum line coming off the brake booster, can i take that off, and connect it to the Rx-7's brake booster. it also has a tube coming off the same location.

Micheal Yount, i know you can help, because of your conversion. i'm getting rid of the mustang on saturday, so i need to make sure i got all the parts i need off of it.

You need the #2 thing - it is the EVR (electonic vacuum regulator) control for the EGR system.

The brake booster can be pluged into any vacuum source that the hose fits on without drastic changes in size. In other words, don't hook the brake booster to a tiny 1/8" vacuum line and expect it to work properly. Connect it to a similarly lage size vacuum source for best operation.

thanks, that helps alot., those two hoses, onthe passenger side fender, i them figured out, they were each connected, one was connected to a round ball thing, and the other was connected to a short black cylindercal thing.

I got questions 2 & 4 answerd, but now i have another, when i was taking off the throtle cable(from the gas pedal to the throttle body) there are two cables, one from the gas pedal, and one that leads into the driver's side fender, i took off the fender, and the cable leads into a round thing. kinda looks like an over grown horn. what is that thing? and do i need it. I can detach that second cable from the gas pedal cable, if needed.
