it's actually a pretty difficult task... i can't remember exacly how to do it but i think there are 2? bolts in the back with nuts that you need a needle nose or a reg. plyers to get off. You sqeeze the sides of it and the in theory should slide off (maybe a little prying with a screwdriver on em)

i think when i replaced mine i just broke the black nuts but new ones came in the set

Yep i see what you mean. I have no idea how to get the bottom one out so i just gave up. That has to be the stupidest idea for holding headlights in.

remove the plastic radiator cover..
remove the pony badge..(torx bit with the hole in it)
remove the hood latch assy bolts..2
remove the plugs/bolts from the corner lamps and remove em.
remove bolts behind the corner lamps (2) each side
remove 4 bolts in the center of the headlight housing...in front of the condenser..2 each side..
unscrew and remove the headlight bulbs....

yank the entire assy....thats how I did mine...its not really all that hard...the assy goes in and out real easy...

or just use masking tape to protect everything real good...then have at it...

If you want to wetsand the headlights, then just take some garbage bags and masking tape, and mask off the rest of the car. That will prevent any accidental scratches in the paint.

That is how I did mine, and it came out great. Except I used #0000 super fine steel wool and clear spraypaint.
