I have removed my rearend and would like to remove the parking brake system since I have never once used the brake for the 4 years I've owned the car. Will I have any problems if I take out the cable from the brakes? I was told that I will get a rattle in the drums if I do this. Is this true?

Not sure on your question, but in most areas, all vehicles are to have a parking brake by law.
