Removing spring feature stripes??

Has anyone done this to their spring feature stang?? If so how did you do it, and how did it turn out? I have been toying around with the idea for a while. I kind of like the clean look. My car has spent 90% of it's life in the garage and only has 25,000 miles on it. Do you think the paint will be faded enought to tell??

I still have my stripes.. but, i heard some guys doing it.. i don't think you will have any problem removing them.

I might remove them .. but, just to add the real stripes all over the car.

Thanks for the reply,
I still have not decided on what I want to do. For some reason I have been wanting to tone down the appearance of my car(kind of hard to do when the car is yellow.) I figure if I remove them and I don't like the car without them I could always do as you said and get them painted on.

I would love to have mine painted on. I hate having to avoid the stripes when waxing. It would have a cleaner look IMO.

I have had mine on for 2 years...and the "8 Year" vinyl is starting to peel at the edges...i wan't to pull them off, but i wonder the same thing. Will you see a paint faded section? If so can i buff it all out...or am i doomed? Love the look, but i want them painted on. Which brings me to my next question: How much to paint stripes (on average)? - Mario
