I guess this is sort of tech-related?

The plastic trim around my radio / AC controls is starting to fade and flake -- I want to take it off and paint it.

I had a look and don't see any obvious way to take it off. I know I'll have to take my headunit out -- but how do I take that puppy off? Any hints?

You just have to grap the sides of the trim and pull. I would start at one of the corners but once you get it pulled loose you should see four clips which hold it in place. Good Luck but its not that hard!

The trim will be secured in the same manner. Just have to take it slow and easy.

Alright -- guess I'm pulling plastic tomorrow. Good ol' Ford Snap-Together interior parts! Thanks...

Update on this: Besides the 2 screws under the headunit (don't know how I missed these) there is 1 more screw to get. You can only reach this once you've taken the headunit right out... you'll see it about 10 inches back behind the trim... look wayyyy back. Yep -- there it is.
