had to get the factory one replaced. go a motorcraft battery. thing is it is not the one from the factory it is remanufactured by motorcraft or somthing like that.

anyway while im walking with it i can hear the fluid inside sloshing around alot more then the factory battery. does this sound normal? it also dont have an eye, hope it is good.

you should have bought an Optima yellow top since you don't drive the car all the time. It would be able to be recharged many times and in the fall when you park your car you just give it a good charge and put it away until spring...then it will still be almost 100% charged. Worth the money if you don't drive it everyday all year.

I'm with Bob. Shoot for an Optima product. They seem to be nearly bulletproof batteries.

well i will look into the optima later on. i already got the mororcraft one though. the original was fine to sit for a week or so with no problems starting, i figure this one will be the same.

it has been a pain trying to put my battery tray back in though. i think i might be missine some bolts or somthing. i was without it so long i forget. i just have the 2 bolts screwed into the inside fender and that is all that seems to hold it. i know there is another long screw that supposed to go in the bottom but there is nothing there to screw in to.

seems pretty stable though. i will hook up the battery tonight and see if the thing is any good. think i should trickle charge it first?

I bet you'll hear those same sounds when charging it, too.

No, do what is needed--just saying you will notice minor gurgling noises when charging a wet cell battery.

I just put in a new battery tray, it was only $14 at the ford parts counter and had hold down clip and bolt included.

oh sorry., i thought you were saying i should not charge it as it would be bad or somthing. i wasnt sure what you meant. thanks for the heads up though.

yea i think that is what im missing a hold down clip or somthing. oh well it seems stable. i just have to see if i can close the hood. and i think i put that little sleeve on backward. i have to switch that and im good. i might be too lazy and just leave it though.
