I have recently purchased a 65 coupe that has been partly restored. Have been sorting out some small issues, mainly electrical. Finding that the replacement parts used are not very good quality. Where and how do you get parts that work and last?

It's best for you to deal with a supplier who restores cars, which makes it possible to ask them up front how well a particular part works. This also gives them the ability to discriminate, when possible, between competing parts, and offer whose which are superior. I have worked with Glazier/Nolan, and their 35+ years in the restoration business gives them this ability, no doubt there are others.

+1 on the Barn, they have the proper parts and more importantly they know how to tell the good from the bad.

I will typically get electrical parts like this from NAPA (ECHLIN) / Standard Motor Products. Just don't buy the cheap line.
