Quick question:

What's the proper way to reset the PCM?
Disconnect the neg. battery cable and press the brake a few times? That's what I've been told by someone..

disconnect the negative battery cable for like 20min and reconnect it. then let the car idle for 15min that is how i've done it.

That is correct. Pressing the brake pedal a few times will discharge the remaining voltage left in the capacitors in the EEC.

I have always just let the car sit but now i will press brake pedal. the rason peeps let the car idle afterwards is the computer is learning how to idle again. it is gather data from all the sensors so as to optimize (as much as it can do) the running of the engine.

I just always leave the marker lights on to remove any stored charge. You know it (spike voltage) is gone after they (lights) all die out.
