So I was wondering if anybody knows if replacing the resonators w/ something like dynomax race bullets would make a difference? Also if this would kill the warranty?
Any thoughts?

Mufflers don't void warranty, when you mean difference do you mean power gains? Mufflers are good for about 3 HP

yeah I was talking replacing the resonators with glasspacks, keeping the stock muffs. Just curious if anybody had done or heard of this being done and what the results were plus or negative?

I just removed the resonators completely and have GT500's on the car. Sound is great.

The resonators are not much more than glass pack look alikes anyway.....

So that voided your warrnaty? or no? I would like to just cut em off but with 1500 miles on the clock dont want to take it in the shorts on a repair for having done so.

I see no way this would effect the warranty......plus it must be a system related to the problem. I am not worried.

So I am leaning towards replacing the resonators w/ glass packs and seeing how that sounds. I figure they should still flow more than the resonators and be manageable for the wife.

I just purchased a Ford Racing X-Pipe that replaces that section only without messing with the cats. If Ford sells it, it must be ok to replace it.

I do not see where glass packs would flow any different than the resonators unless you use a larger diameter glass pack. The resonator is a straight thru design with perforations to the outer chamber. Glass pack are the same with small cups in the exhaust path to pull some into the outer chamber.

Just remove the resonators....not like it is going to be extremely loud or anything. If you don't tell her, she may not even notice.
